We struggle to adjust to the impact of covid-19. And thanks to macro forces such as rapidly increasing global population, globalization, and urbanization the risk of more viral outbreaks grows stronger every decade. How will our lifestyles and social arrangements change in the face of such realities? How will we carry on?
It seems likely that social and environmental improvements will have to be developed and implemented by local groups. Specifically, they will be well-networked and informed but rather small-sized voluntaristic and leisure focused community teams working together with mostly small-to-medium sized socially and environmentally conscious businesses.
Sociologist Dr. Mark Durieux is well- positioned to further the study and development of such new social and economic arrangements. Lead co-author of “Social Entrepreneurship for Dummies” and author of the forthcoming “Sociology 101 For All Walks Of Life”, Mark brings his interesting insights to our panel.
